Who We Are

The Bharatiya Exporters Forum is an exporter-focused organization working to advance India’s economic sovereignty by supporting domestic industry, promoting self-reliance, and facilitating responsible participation in global markets. BEF functions as a bridge between industry, government, and knowledge institutions to ensure that Indian exporters are competitive, compliant, and resilient.

Our Vision

  •  BEF shall devote itself to realization to the vision of ‘Make in India for the world’.
  • As an institution, it shall be a voice of the Indian exporter who toils hard to take India’s swadeshi produce to global markets, and therefore serves as a key stakeholder in the development of India’s global competitiveness and expanding India’s participation in global value-chains
  • BEF shall therefore be committed to serve the interests of India’s exporters whose entrepreneurial efforts adds to India’s economic growth and generates employment.
  • Recognizing that MSME exporters in manufacturing clusters across India are the lifeblood of India’s export success, BEF shall dedicate itself to raising awareness and finding resolution of cluster specific issues, and those pertaining to key sectors centered around such clusters.

Our Mission

  •  BEF shall work to inculcate the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India for the World’ among the Indian exporters' community
  • BEF shall serve as a platform for exporters to discuss their critical challenges and needs. Unlike other existing organizations, BEF shall adopt a cluster level approach for the understanding and articulation of these issues.
  • BEF shall serve as a regular interface between regulators and senior policymakers, and as a platform that shall raise awareness on cluster level and sector specific issues of exporters with relevant authorities and find solutions to these challenges. BEF shall try its utmost to organize these interactions with adequate speed and frequency.
  • BEF shall liaison with institutions and experts to develop capacity and disseminate knowledge on areas relevant to exporters. These include understanding of government schemes, trade related documentation, relevance of trade agreements etc.
  • BEF shall create knowledge products in the form of online pamphlets and videos that help raise awareness of key policy developments, policy issues and challenges that are of interest to the exporting community
  • BEF shall curate cluster level and national level programs in the wider cause of export promotion in partnership with like-minded organizations and institutions. It would have in its annual program, a few flagship events. This would include:
  • BEF shall ensure that it has at least one meeting of its Central Committee with Cabinet Minister responsible for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, The Ministry of Finance, The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, Waterways, The Ministry of Civil Aviation every year.
  • The BEF should take up to (a maximum of) 3 focus states per year. The BEF shall curate a meeting with Chief Minister of those states with Central Committee members, and the cluster committee of those states.
  • BEF shall organize an annual “Audyogikshetra Samman Divas” that shall celebrate the achievements of some of the best performing clusters, and use the occasion to highlight both the achievements, but also the struggles in the path to success to develop awareness about the exporter community, especially MSMEs.
  • BEF shall work with GoI to have an official annual Bharatiya Exporter Swabhimaan Divas that shall celebrate grassroots swadeshi exporter success highlighting product innovation, technology integration or new business models. The date of the annual event should coincide with the birth anniversary of any one of the towering personalities who espoused and led the cause of Swadeshi industry and cluster development. Options include (among others) for example, Ganesh Vasudeo Joshi or Rajnarain Bose.
